Registration Information for the Cape Fine & Rare Wine Auction

The Auction is a perfect opportunity for wine enthusiasts from around the world to catch-up with old friends and make new ones while being entertained and wowed from beginning to end. Guests attending will be treated to some of the finest foods and beverages, which are also synonymous with the Cape Winelands. Top chefs and baristas are on hand to indulge guests with their culinary and coffee creations accompanied by live entertainment.

With deals agreed and after all is said and done, the day ends with a fantastic celebration of the day’s activities.

The carefully selected judging panel consisting of wine experts, Master of Wines (MW) and top Sommeliers that are responsible for selecting some of the most rare and iconic South African wines for the Auction 2021.

The Cape Fine & Rare Wine Auction has established itself as one of the top wine auctions globally with a focus on rare vintages, iconic wines and wines which are expected to age exceptionally well. Wine lovers and wine buyers are invited to register as a buyer. Once registered, you will receive an invitation to purchase your auction ticket(s) in the weeks to come.

The Auction will be hosted at the Rupert Museum, Stellenbosch on the weekend of the 22nd of May 2021.

PRIVATE BUYERS APPLICATION FORM

Important notice regarding VAT invoices.

1. All private buyers will be required to register an account with the Bergkelder Vinoteque for bidding purposes.
2. Where ‘private buyers’ prefer to purchase the wines via their companies for VAT purposes, the company and not the individual must be registered in order to clearly indicate the counterparty.
3. Consider VAT implications: the entity/company can only purchase for the purposes of promotion, entertainment, gifting or internal consumption and NOT for distribution.
